Design Engineer

The successful Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Mechanical department, within the companies Group, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement.

  • Develop innovative mechanical products and systems, from concept to execution.
  • Design and analyse mechanical and electromechanical systems, including 3D CAD modelling and simulation.
  • Oversee the development process to ensure it meets the requirements and timelines.
  • Perform product testing and troubleshoot design failures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other design engineers and project managers.

To be successful in this role of Design Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field or experience as a mechanical designer, preferably in a product-based industry.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, material and standards
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful mechanical products and systems
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Experience in a broad range of skills, including design for Manufacturability, tolerance analysis and cost optimisation
