We are currently looking to recruit a Trade Counter Assistant who will provide first class customer service to all customers ‘over the counter,' and undertake sales activity as and when required.

What does the role involve?

As Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the face of SIG and will be required to engage with customers both over the phone and face to face. This is the ideal role for an outgoing and personable candidate who has the confidence to take customer orders and provide key product information to customers visiting our busy Trade Counter.

The successful candidate will require:

  • Experience in the construction industry would be beneficial, however we can develop your product and technical knowledge if you're willing to learn.
  • Ability to engage with customers and build relationships.
  • We service customers in our yard and therefore part of the role is to provide support to this team when required. Being forklift trained will support you in this aspect of the role. We will provide full training for this.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • To be dynamic and motivated.
