Location: Coventry (CV3) - Hybrid and some travel requirements
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (36.25hrs)
Pay: £20.97ph paid weekly PAYE or £27.83ph paid weekly via umbrella
Duration: 6 month contract initially however may be extended beyond this
Notes: Will need to use own vehicle for this role, mileage will be paid
Duties
- To assist the Health & Safety Manager in the implementation and on-going support of a Group wide Health and Safety Management System to ensure legal compliance.
- To provide project and systems lead to continuously improve the H&S infrastructure, systems, compliance, audit, assurance and competency.
- Responsible for providing advice, guidance and support on all health and safety related issues.
- Responsible for providing Health and Safety related training to the Groups staff as and when required
- Responsible for updating existing and developing new e learning and classroom training.
- Responsible for undertaking Health and Safety audits, inspections, investigations and ad-hoc visits
- Responsible for collating data, carrying out statistical analysis to support the Health & Safety Manager with reporting
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, procedures and guidance and ensuring that any updates required are highlighted to the Health & Safety Manager Responsible for providing support to other departments on H&S related issues when necessary.
- Attendance at Group Health and Safety Committee
- To assist, review and report on Health & Safety Compliance across the organisation
- Responsible for liaising with external agencies as and when required such as HSE, Fire Authorities and Environmental Health.
Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
- Tech IOSH or equivalent
