Are you an experienced Database Infrastructure Engineer looking for your next contract role? We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious third-party client based in Edinburgh. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to contribute to significant database and infrastructure projects while enjoying flexibility in your work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Major Version Upgrades: Lead the upgrade of the client's on-prem MongoDB and Postgres databases.
- AWS Migration Support: Assist the client's development teams in migrating on-prem solutions to AWS RDS.
- Grafana Migration: Migrate the current Grafana instance to containers deployed on OpenShift.
- Logging Infrastructure Enhancement: Enhance database logging using AWS OpenSearch.
- BAU Support: Provide ongoing support with database upgrades, patching, automation, and monitoring improvements.
- Stakeholder Support: Respond to and resolve support requests from client stakeholders.
