Role Profile

Our client is a UK Leading Logistics company looking for someone to head up their driver recruitment across multiple UK locations.

The Driver Resourcing Manager will be responsible for ensuring the business has a constant flow of readily available driver resource to manage the demands of the customers. Planning, organising, marketing and assisting with driver retention will be an integral part of the role. Our customer is looking for someone who can come into the business and own this key function, providing new, creative solutions, methods, and programs to keep pace with the market.

What will the role entail?

This position will require a strategic focus with strengths in project management, marketing, and business development and effective communication.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and develop a driver talent pool to meet driver hiring requirements.
  • Manage driver application process to ensure compliant and complete driver applications.
  • Measure and constantly improve the hiring metrics for driver recruitment.
  • Work closely with leadership to provide the necessary resources to achieve defined hiring goals.
  • Work closely with managers to ensure retention.
  • Establish relevant recruiting goals through daily and weekly reporting and ensure the recruiting team is meeting hiring targets.
  • Establish departmental recruiting metrics that align with fleet expansion goals.
  • Responsible for creating and managing budgets for driver recruiting and marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Spearhead major marketing initiatives and campaigns targeting new driver recruits.
  • Expand social media efforts to attract driver candidates.
  • Track marketing data and compile reports for senior management.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of driver requirements.
  • Previous relevant work experience in logistics, transportation.
  • Prior recruitment or resourcing experience.
  • Experience recruiting or hiring drivers desired.
  • Marketing knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively both in-person and through written correspondences and presentations with candidates, recruiters, peers, managers, and leadership.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and results driven.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized initiative-taker with the ability to self-direct and self- prioritize work with the ability to pivot as needed.
