As a Site Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing both Civil Engineering and asphalt surfacing contracts;
  • Building strong working relationships with the wider team, Sub-Contractors and Clients;
  • Communicating with the Client to solve problems on site or raise technical queries;
  • Setting out and Surveying with Dumpy and Laser Levels, GPS and Total Station;
  • Reading and manipulating AutoCAD drawings to accurately transfer information to site and preparing as-built drawings;
  • Liaising with local authorities to ensure compliance with local construction regulations;
  • Taking a proactive approach to managing Health & Safety on site;
  • Preparing and delivering RAMS and Site Inductions.
  • Keeping site records
  • Managing Sub-Contractors' performance;
  • Recording and monitoring planned work versus actual;
  • Managing resources on site so that the project is delivered on time.
  • Take-offs and ordering of materials as required;
  • Measuring completed work for preparation of Client Valuations and Sub-Contractor Payments.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline;
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Site Engineer to include Principal Contractor experience within Northern Ireland's construction industry;
  • Sound knowledge of Engineering, latest building regulations, legislation and Health and Safety;
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and surveying equipment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organisational skills;
  • Full UK Driving License.
