A Good Secondary School based in Redbridge, is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate History Teacher to join their team from September 2024.

This large secondary school located in the borough of Redbridge, are looking to recruit a History Teacher to join their team from September 2024. The Senior Leadership Team have the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. The school have undergone many changes over the years, but at the heart they remain a school with traditional values.

The Senior Leadership Team are very supportive of their staff and are always trying to better their expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders place great importance on developing the whole child. They have high expectations on pupil's behaviour, and students do behave well, showing respect towards each other and towards adults."

HISTORY TEACHER:

The department aim to enable students to construct an understanding of the historical world in which they live and critically engage with it. They aim to inspire a lifelong love of history and want to develop passionate historians and independent learners who seek further knowledge, value hard work and education, and who have the competence in asking questions and understanding the impact and relevance of the past on the world and society today. The team are looking to appoint a talented and dynamic History Teacher who will be responsible for teaching History to KS3 and KS4. You will be working alongside a large and very supportive team to work closely together to ensure that the children are given the opportunity to reach their own individual goals.

The role is to start in September and will be for the full academic year.

To be considered for this HISTORY Teacher role you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE in History
  • Experience teaching History to KS3 and KS4
  • The desire to join a very successful department and school
