Security Engineer - 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

As a Security Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing and maintaining security controls and tools, ensuring the safety and integrity of our client's IT infrastructure. You'll work closely with various departments to enhance security processes and drive innovation in IT security.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and deployment of secure design and implementation for the IT security maturity programme.
  • Integrate new IT security technologies and enhance internal capabilities for security testing.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to embed security-by-design principles.
  • Perform vulnerability management, monitoring security alerts, and conducting security scanning to mitigate risks.
  • Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and security incidents globally.
  • Improve identity and access management, as well as encryption key management infrastructure.

Key Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Cyber Security, with strong hands-on technical support in IT, network, and security engineering.
  • Proficiency in security technology management, incident response, malware protection, and threat analytics.
  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft Defender, and network security solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar).
  • Familiarity with cloud security and application firewalls.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds professional security certifications (CISSP, SANS, OSCP, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and present security solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and able to manage security incidents under pressure.
