Position; Yard Operative
Location; Wallingford
Salary; £11.50 - £13.00 PER HOUR
We require a Yard Operative to work for our client based near Wallingford, working hours will be 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Due to location you would ideally need to drive. Or if you live in Wallingford happy to cycle / use a motorbike.
The role;
You will be required to keep the yard clean and tidy at all times ensuring full health and safety rules are adhered to at all times.
Main responsibilities;
- Loading and unloading of Lorries and other HGVs as required
- Yard maintenance ensuring all is clean and organised at all times
- Use of bailing machines to compact waste
- Wrapping of pallets ready for despatch
- General Sweeping and cleaning of work areas
- Repairing of Pallets when necessary
- Stock taking and inventory maintenance
- Reworks of returned damaged or waste products
- Completion of risk assessment as required (training provided)
About you;
No experience is necessary as full training will be given.
A conscientious and 'can-do' attitude with the ability to work form your own initiative.
Experience of using forklift trucks would be advantageous but not essential;.
