Contract: Salaried, permanent.

Hours: 37.5

Salary: £60,000 to £68,000 plus car allowance, 20% bonus and other benefits

Role Purpose

The Contract Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for the delivery and performance management of all contractual activities within their assigned contract, in the short, medium, and long term.

Core Responsibilities

  • Formulate and deploy the appropriate strategies and management approach to ensure operational delivery, contract compliance, and financial wellbeing of the contract.
  • Co-ordinate the contract management resources in the execution and delivery of the contractual requirements. Ensure that those activities are conducted in line with the contractual and legal obligations, and delivered in line with applicable Key Performance Indicators for:Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Performance, Environment
  • Deliver the financial budget performance of the assigned contract.
  • Review and report regularly on operational activities within the assigned contract, as required to the regional senior management, and divisional management when necessary.
  • Ensure that the Company policies and procedures are appropriately deployed and in effect across the contract.
  • Champion contract development activities in securing business opportunities for upselling within the contract that provide profitable growth.
  • Actively promote a 'Company Wide' approach to customer service, constantly seeking ways to improve response and capabilities.
  • As part of the UK Management Team, the CAM may be required to support other management processes and initiatives within the business, outside of the scope of their specific contract.
  • Take P&L responsibility for the contract assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and Company policies and procedures, including all aspects of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality, Purchasing, HR, Payroll, etc.
  • Establish and maintain a working knowledge of Company systems and processes, ensuring
  • adherence to these.
  • Manage, motivate, and support employees to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Maximise profit within budgetary parameters.
  • Drive continuous improvement to improve costs, quality, and services quantitatively and
  • qualitatively

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • You will already be working in the UK Facilities Management service sector, providing a range of service activities across industry sectors such as Automotive, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Food and Beverages, Transport etc.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and Health & Safety legislation
  • Proven experience in Facilities Management (Hard and Soft FM)
  • Proven track record of relationship building with good contact networks
  • Proven experience managing multi-site contracts
  • Current UK Driving licence
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Customer engagement expertise
  • Understanding of commercial mechanisms in Facilities Management outsourcing
  • Experience in controlling costs and managing budgets
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment
  • Experience of scoping customer requirements and delivering against standards
  • Experience of working to and developing operational processes
  • Experience of leading and managing teams and individuals
  • Knowledge of HR policy and procedures
  • Project management experience (launches, mobilisation, demobilisation of contracts)
  • Capable of interpreting and accurately and clearly reporting data

Desirable

  • Educated to degree standard.
  • Formal training and experience in continuous improvement and lean tools
  • Proven Facilities Management experience
  • Knowledge of Total Facilities Management
  • Preferably have direct experience and track record of winning business in the service areas of:
  • Technical Facilities Management, Mechanical & Electrical Services, Technical Cleaning Services, Large scale janitorial cleaning, Industrial waste management, Installation and automation projects
  • Demonstrable skills and track record in providing solutions to win new customers and new business
  • Experience of working within a unionised environment, managing large teams of blue-collar and white-collar workers
  • Experienced in use of FM technologies (CAFM, CMMS etc)
  • Understanding of asset registration and asset management principles
