Garth Hill College is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our team from September 2024. We are looking for a talented educator with a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing the best possible education for all pupils.

Day to day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality mathematics lessons to students across different year groups.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons and materials, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Monitor and support the progress of individual students, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
  • Participate in the school's continuous professional development programs to enhance teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and teaching strategies.
  • Utilize the school's behaviour and inclusion systems to maintain a focused and respectful classroom atmosphere.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A strong understanding of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, with a July start available and a reduced timetable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
