Garth Hill College is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our team from September 2024. We are looking for a talented educator with a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing the best possible education for all pupils.
Day to day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality mathematics lessons to students across different year groups.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons and materials, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Monitor and support the progress of individual students, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
- Participate in the school's continuous professional development programs to enhance teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and teaching strategies.
- Utilize the school's behaviour and inclusion systems to maintain a focused and respectful classroom atmosphere.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A strong understanding of the mathematics curriculum.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, with a July start available and a reduced timetable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
