Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 a year

The Group Finance Manager will work across the entire business with the primary objective of the role to support the Finance team in ensuring accurate monthly financial reporting in line with deadlines. A key part of this role will be delivering improvements within the finance team with a focus on GP.

Job Duties

  • Prepare timely financial information for the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop reporting processes, controls, and systems.
  • Review month-end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
  • Provide meaningful and accurate variance analysis monthly.
  • Support operational finance needs across the business.
  • Manage day-to-day operational relationships within the team, including direct line management of three accountants.
  • Lead and deliver R2R process improvement projects.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
  • Assist with external audit queries and year-end processes.

Group Finance Manager Profile Desired

  • UK Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar), Big 4 accounting experience is a large bonus.
  • Proven experience in the UK managing and delivering change or finance project
  • Previous line management experience and staff development.
  • Expertise in data manipulation and modelling using SQL, Excel, and other tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both the Board and non-financial individuals.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-based approach.
