An exciting opportunity has arisen for agency Children's Support Worker to join the team in Greater Manchester/Salford. You will be part of a team of 4 support worker looking after a 16-year-old boy with challenging behaviour. We are looking for support staff that can start as soon as possible.
We provide Temporary accommodation for staff willing to travel for work.
The Role
As Support Worker you will be providing 2:1 support to this individual within a single occupancy property, such as activities of daily living skills, leisure activities or at school.
This post is for a competent worker to engage in direct, focused work with this individual to build positive relationships, to model acceptable behaviour and help individual to trust and feel safe with adults.
What we're looking for...
- A NVQ level 3 Qualification in Child care/youth/community work is required
- 4 support staff daily 8am to 8pm
- 4 support staff at night 8pm to 8am.
- Enhanced DBS-Childres
- Mandatory Training
- Experience working with children with complex behaviours
- An understanding of challenging behaviours and trauma
- A good understanding of the needs of looked after children
