Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. This is could also be a fantastic opportunity for an ECT. The role will be perfect for an individual to develop their teaching skills and contribute to the success of our students across Key Stages 3 to 5. Class sizes are small with between 15 to 20 students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5, demonstrating excellent pedagogy and a commitment to high standards.
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the curriculum, ensuring all students are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and using data to inform and adapt teaching strategies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for science.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching science and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching practices and the ability to implement them in the classroom.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in training and development opportunities.
