A large public sector organisation, based in Windsor, are looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to help provide front line IT Helpdesk support within the Education field. This is a permanent role, based in Windsor.
The Role
As an IT Support Technician, you will be working and delivering support to internal users within the organisation directly reporting into the IT Service Delivery Manager. You will be a main point of contact for users by providing hardware and software support of school devices including Microsoft and Apple devices, alongside network equipment, printers and telephones.
Daily responsibilities would include managing calls, routing calls to the correct member of the team to complete the task, and escalating issues where necessary. A hands-on role, handling equipment and providing solution to IT issues.
Overall, the IT Support Technician requires an individual with a 'get stuck in' attitude, prior experience within a service desk or technician environment, and a friendly personality to join a great team. There is opportunity to progress, develop and upskill.
What you'll need to succeed
- MAC knowledge, Apple operating system support
- Understanding of Microsoft Office & Windows
- IT Service/desktop experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A hands-on learner
- Customer service experience
