Prospero are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Mentor to work in a Specialist Pupil Assessment Centre, Clayton , Manchester.

Your role will be to work 1:1 with students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education.

The assessment centre are assessing the pupils on 1:1 basis to check the gaps in their education, the role of the centre is ensure the pupils are placed in the correct education once they have been through the assessment centre.

You will be confident working with a range of different learning styles and abilities and be able to work with varying learning difficulties such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. You must also be able to connect with young people and be able to able to relate to them on their level.

You will ideally have a experience of working with pupils who show can display a lack of engagement.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience working in a UK school
Behaviour Management Experience

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
