We have opportunities for experienced (plus 3yrs pq) Social Workers across our services in our Permanence service. The candidate will be experienced in Children Looked After and Leaving Care, with some experience of working with UASC.

Excellent engagement skills with young people is essential as well as key relationships with partners, pathway planning, good understanding of Housing, Education, Employment and Health to ensure the best possible services are provided to sustain a brighter future.

We have a stable, permanent team manager and service manager group, so you will be supported in your practice by your manager and receive regular reflective supervision.

We have good range of support services in Liverpool including a Family Group Conference Service, family support workers within teams and an extensive Early Help Offer to support the children and families of our city and the work you do.

We offer:-

  • an initial 3-month minimum contract to create stability for our children and young people
  • up to £42 per hour ltd, based on experience
  • A 35-hour week Hybrid working model

*It is essential that all candidates are car drivers and have access to a vehicle*

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
