Compassionate Individuals needed as SEN Teaching Assistants

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals who have personal experience supporting friends or family members with special educational needs and disabilities. If you have a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with additional needs and a passion for making a difference, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Learning: Assist students with special educational needs in their academic and social development.
  • Individualised Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Encouragement: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Adaptation: Modify learning materials and activities to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitoring Progress: Track and report on student progress, celebrating successes and identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Personal Experience: Direct experience supporting friends or family members with special or additional needs.
  • Empathy and Patience: A genuine understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with special needs and a compassionate approach to support.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the classroom environment.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
