I am currently working with a well-established sub-contract sheet metalworking engineering company in Redditch, who after a re-structure within their departments, are now looking for an experienced MIG / TIG Fabricator Welder to join their Operations team.
The role of the MIG / TIG Fabricator Welder will involve, but is not limited to:
- Setting and operating the Robotic Welding machine, managing all machine control settings and making the necessary adjustments.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Performing weld techniques to fabricate the parts
- Processing mechanical knowledge and using hand tools.
- Following instructions
- Welding the components to a high standard.
- Attending and supporting the daily production meetings as required.
The ideal candidate for the MIG / TIG Fabricator Welder will:
- Have experience of working with robotic welders.
- Be a coded welder (advantageous but not essential)
- Be capable of MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
- Have strong organisational and problem solving skills.
- Be focused on delivering high standards of customer service, both internally and externally.
- Be a team player who is motivated, punctual and reliable.
- Have a positive attitude, be proactive and enthusiastic.
- Work closely with fellow colleagues to build and maintain good working relationships, and exchange working knowledge to enhance their own working performance.
In return, the MIG / TIG Fabricator Welder can expect to work a straight day shift, with an early finish on Fridays, to receive a competitive salary, flexible holiday entitlement (no shut down), and free parking on site. We would expect the candidate to be flexible to cover other shifts in the case of holidays and sickness.
