We are looking for a first-class PR Account Manager to join the McKenna Townsend team, to work across a broad range of fantastic, global clients. The successful candidate will have at least three years of previous PR/marketing agency experience. Experience in managing social media campaigns would also be beneficial.

We have an excellent opportunity for a passionate, confident and creative PR Account Manager, with experience in social media, to join the team.

Role overview

The successful candidate will be a real all-rounder who can think big and still deliver on the detail. You'll be a self-starter and able to run your own accounts with bags of drive, energy and commitment.

Your day-to-day role will focus on PR and social activities. You'll be confident at presenting to clients and experienced in managing several clients at a time. We need someone with an eye for detail who can see campaigns through from start to finish. You'll be given a lot of responsibility and will be able to shape the role as you progress.

Key duties:

  • Responsible for creating content for use across our clients' social channels and websites
  • Social media artwork production (GIFs, video, animation)
  • To support organic and advertising programmes (including resizing)
  • Collaborate with various departments within the agency
  • Work with social media influencers to develop creative solutions
  • Attend client shows and events to capture primary content

Key duties

PR management

  • Understanding and use media knowledge and relations to the benefit of clients
  • Creative storytelling across a wide variety of channels
  • Form relationships with key influencers
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and relevant media
  • Copywriting - press releases, literature, social media content, general messaging
  • Website - updates to content and web stories
  • Able to represent the agency at client meetings - taking briefs, developing them and then confidently presenting back
  • Working closely with the wider team to help deliver fully integrated campaigns that are creatively excellent
  • Understanding clients' marketplaces and applying that thinking to cutting edge, results-driven campaigns
  • Identifying new business opportunities - both organic and new

Social media management:

  • Planning
  • Building and developing audiences
  • Developing creative and engaging multimedia content
  • Managing the day-to-day handling of all social media channels, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok
  • Posting/scheduling
  • Setting up and managing advertising programmes
  • Monitoring channels and reporting
  • Audience engagement
  • Benchmarking/KPIs/ROI
  • Campaign management
  • Competitor tracking

About you:

Key requirements & skills:

  • Solid understanding of PR and social media disciplines
  • At least three years' experience
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Understanding and experience of using and delivering social media campaigns for clients
  • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
  • Excellent team working and collaboration skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple accounts
