An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's most successful Automotive Manufacturing businesses. Our client is looking to hire a Test Manager on a Hybrid basis at their prestigious offices in Bracknell.
This role demands a keen eye for detail as the candidate will be responsible for the management and planning of testing the core systems and key applications. The successful candidate will:
- Oversee and update the overall test strategy and process.
- Plan for system changes.
- Specify and upkeep test environment requirements.
- Manage the identification and resolution of defects.
- Track testing progress and provide regular reporting.
- Supervise and guide indirect reports throughout the testing process.
- Assist in the Release Management process with 3rd Party Suppliers.
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels.
- Develop Test Reports for review and sign-off before implementing changes.
- Maintain and update business test packs to facilitate key testing.
- Evaluate and suggest changes to business requirements.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports on testing activities.
- Identify potential tools, such as automation, for more effective testing and traceability.
- Create test approaches that align with their overall test strategy.
- Scrutinize and manage issues arising from third-party release notes.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience as Test Manager or Test Analyst with the ability to assist in managing internal and external development projects from inception to successful implementation. Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, testing methodologies and deployment management. Experience of test automation desirable.
The role is inside IR35 and the day rate via an umbrella company is £600 per day. Excellent working environment, 35 hr week and 1pm finish on a Friday!
