Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for your next role teaching RE (Leadership opportunity available) in a school located in Tower Hamlets?

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to join our client, a well-regarded Catholic school in Tower Hamlets, as the Second in Charge of the RE department. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2024.

Job Role Requirements:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons to students of various abilities.
  • Support the Head of Department in curriculum development and departmental administration.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Uphold the school's Catholic ethos and values.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Religious Education.
  • Proven experience in teaching RE at the secondary level.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ideally, experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
