We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to join our client, a well-regarded Catholic school in Tower Hamlets, as the Second in Charge of the RE department. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2024.
Job Role Requirements:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons to students of various abilities.
- Support the Head of Department in curriculum development and departmental administration.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Uphold the school's Catholic ethos and values.
Qualifications and Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Religious Education.
- Proven experience in teaching RE at the secondary level.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ideally, experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
