Are you an experienced Finance Manager with Local Authority Place experience? If the answer is yes and you are looking for a new interim role please do get in touch. Allen Lane are delighted to be assisting a Council with the recruitment of this 6 month interim post. Key duties include:
- Lead on Rolling out Budget Holder training across the Place Directorate
- Act as a Finance lead for Budget Holders across Place, including Engineers, Highways, Waste and Fleet services
- Lead the team through the monitoring of capital spend reports
- Provide financial management, technical and business planning advice, training and support within the Place Directorate,
- Provide advice regarding Directorate recovery and savings plans to ensure a balanced budget
- Roll out of Budget Holder training across budget across with the Place Directorate
- Finance lead for a number of the Councils Operational Services including, but not exclusive to (Engineers and Highways, Waste and Fleet Services, Greenspace, Bereavement Services)
- Play an integral role on formulation of the Councils MTFS and 2025/26 Budget, including in-depth work to review Fees and Charges
- Finance Lead for Major Capital Projects, including significant Town Centre Redevelopments
