Our client is seeking a Consultant for Regulatory Operations, specialising in MIFID Regulatory Reporting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the OTC Derivatives team within Capital Markets and Wealth Management Operations. The successful candidate will provide oversight on operational controls surrounding Capital Markets Regulatory Trade Reporting, ensuring compliance with multiple regulatory jurisdictions. What you'll do:

As a Consultant for Regulatory Operations, your primary focus will be on MIFID Regulatory Reporting. You will be part of the OTC Derivatives team within Capital Markets and Wealth Management Operations, providing crucial oversight on operational controls. Your role will involve working closely with stakeholders to develop a product vision that aligns with company goals. You will also be responsible for presenting to business partners and executives on the quality of regulatory performance. A key aspect of your role will be analysing data from various sources to identify potential gaps in reporting. Additionally, you will manage Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations control activities.

  • Provide oversight on operational controls surrounding Capital Markets Regulatory Trade Reporting.
  • Participate in control executions and project activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop a product vision that satisfies requirements.
  • Present to business partners and executives on the quality of regulatory performance.
  • Analyse data from multiple external and internal data sources to identify potential gaps in reporting.
  • Manage Trade and Transaction Reporting Operations control activities.
  • Perform back reporting of impacted trade and transaction reporting activities post resolution.
  • Assist in third party accuracy testing review.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Regulatory Reporting - MIFID role brings a wealth of experience in regulatory trade and transaction reporting, specifically within the UK/EU - SFTR, MIFID II, EMIR. Your ability to analyse transaction reporting data from trade repositories will be crucial in this role. A deep understanding of Debt, Equity and OTC Derivative Products is essential. With at least 2 years of experience in analytics, you are comfortable leveraging state-of-the-art tools. Your effective communication skills will enable you to convey complex messages to business partners and executives. Attention to detail is key in this role, especially when dealing with large and complex data sets. You are project-oriented, able to multi-task multiple priorities. A deep understanding of Regulatory Reporting obligations is also required.

  • 2-3 years of Regulatory Trade and Transaction Reporting experience covering UK / EU - SFTR, MIFID II, EMIR.
  • Ability to analyse transaction reporting data from trade repositories.
  • Knowledge of Debt, Equity and OTC Derivative Products.
  • 2+ years background in analytics leveraging state-of-the-art tools.
  • Effective communication skills required to convey complex messages.
  • Attention to detail especially when dealing with large and complex data sets.
  • Project management skills with the ability to multi-task multiple priorities.
  • Awareness of Regulatory Reporting obligations.
