This role sits within the European Credit Trading business and will play a key role in the continued build out of our algorithmic and systematic trading capabilities.

You will join the team with a quantitative background and work on electronic and automatic dealing of corporate bonds and credit exchange traded funds (ETFs).

This role is focused on dealing bonds and ETFs to customers and requires experience at a securities dealer or similar firm.

The role is highly technical, quantitative and focused on idea generation and data analysis, requiring strong coding skills, statistics and a track record of significant statistical analysis.

Your key responsibilities

  • Working on and taking ownership of aspects of electronic and automatic trading strategy including customer, competitor and market analysis, Algo design and implementation, voice trader partnership
  • Ensuring that the reasoning, thought process and analysis behind all work is well understood and agreed upon
  • Form strong partnerships to collaborate across the Bank including with engineering and technology, voice trading and the broad quantitative trading community

Your skills and experience

  • A track record of delivering analysis and strategy in automatic bond trading, including customer facing trading, at a dealer or similar firm
  • Specific experience in one or more of United States Dollars (USD) or Euro (EUR) cash corporates, USD or EUR government bonds, USD municipals experience/ understanding is highly desirable
  • Educated to bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience in statistics or a related field
  • An understanding of the institutional bond market
  • Strong coding skills with experience/ understanding of languages such as R, Python, kdb/q
  • Clear understanding of Algos with Algo coding skills desirable (Java or C++)
