Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are seeking candidates who have experience or a desire to work closely with children with high behavioural needs.

There are a number of lovely Primary Schools in the Bristol area with a need for Teaching Assistants to join their friendly and supportive team.

With these schools having a range of pupils from difficult backgrounds, they look out for one another and support each other through situations and provide encouragement and ideas to solve problems and provide safe environments for their pupils.

The Role

These positions can be general TA roles or 1:1 support. Depending on your availability to work, there are options for full-time and part-time staff.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience or a desire to work closely with pupils with SEMH, trauma and behavioural needs. Someone with knowledge of these needs is required.

You will be expected to:

  • Strong positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher
  • Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.
  • Be adaptable with the child's learning environment.
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
