Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Secondary School, East London
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' educational journeys within a dynamic and inclusive secondary school environment. You'll work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them overcome challenges and reach their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in the classroom.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they access the curriculum effectively.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Help maintain a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
