We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic School Catering Assistant to join a vibrant primary school team in Tingley, Wakefield starting IMMEDIATELY! The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing and serving nutritious and delicious meals to our students, contributing to their health and well-being.
Day to day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals following the school's menu.
- Serve food to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Help with the setup and clearing of the dining area before and after meal times.
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth operations and a pleasant dining experience for all.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a catering or food service role is essential.
- Strong understanding of food preparation and serving techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check is needed for this role.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing high-quality meals to children.
