Credit Controller

We are recruiting for a credit controller to work with a business service business based in Nantwich, this is a new role to support the finance team reporting to the Finance Manager.
Main Duties
- Proactively managing the credit control across the firm and ensuring maximum cash collection on a daily basis.
- Issuing statements to clients and following up with reminders and phone calls in line with credit control policy.
- Taking card payments from clients and dealing with postings
- Resolving queries and disputes related to invoices, payments, and credit terms.
- Negotiating payment plans and payment methods with clients as necessary.
- Reporting on the status and performance of the accounts receivable ledger to the Finance Partner.
- Reviewing and updating the credit policies and procedures of the company.
- Maintaining good relationships and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 12 months of dedicated credit control experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong and confident communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of credit laws and regulations.
- Customer service and problem-solving skills.

- Full time - office based - 9am to 5.15pm
- 20 days per annum annual leave plus statutory bank holidays. Additionally, the firm ordinarily closes between Christmas and New Year. You will also get an extra day's holiday for your birthday
