1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant

Your new companyA 'GOOD' Ofsted rated school is currently looking for a 1:1 Intervention Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Year 1. The school is based in Oldbury (B69) and it is a highly inclusive school that focuses on providing a safe, happy and supportive environment for children to thrive in.
Your new roleThis is a full-time role from Monday to Friday (8:30 - 15:30) starting from September 2024 until the end of the academic year. You will be working with a child in Year 1 with autism (no behavioural issues) that needs some additional support in literacy, numeracy and phonics. You will be expected to carry out intervention sessions, plan age-appropriate activities and work with the class teacher tracking their development and provide feedback.
What you'll need to succeedA successful candidate will have a minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification along with previous experience working with students on SEN. This school is also looking for someone who is interactive, confident and has the ability to work well in a team.
