Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Salary up to circa £26,000 per annum depending on experience

We are working with a well-established, Lexcel and CQS accredited law firm, who are looking for a Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their growing residential conveyancing team at their lovely office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

The role will involve:

  • Providing support to a busy conveyancing team
  • Drafting, issuing and chasing contracts
  • Liaising with and developing relationships with referrers
  • Providing quotations
  • Liaising with clients by email, phone and face to face
  • Opening, closing, storing and retrieving files
  • Preparing correspondence using a legal case management system
  • Preparing files for completion, drafting completion statements
  • Reporting to client on searches, mortgage contract and title pack
  • Checking MLR and having documents signed off
  • Raising enquiries with sellers' solicitors and replying to enquiries of buyers' solicitors.

Suitable candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 12 months' conveyancing experience
  • A desire to progress your career within conveyancing
  • The ability to prioritise your workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and client care skills

This a full-time office-based, permanent job working 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
