Recruitment Consultant

You work in recruitment, you know how tricky the job can be. Spinning lots of different plates, whilst riding a unicycle that's on fire... I get it. I'm a recruiter too.

I have been for cough 15 years cough...

I'll never be hands-off, I love it too much. I'll be with you in the trenches. I'll be doing BD with you, I'll be resourcing a job until you physically can't do anything more. I love it. I need you to love it too.

What will you be doing?

Let's not beat around the bush. This will be a 360 role. You'll find the jobs and fill them.

Yes, you'll have support from our sales support person and database legend Lyndsey, you'll have access to job boards, our database, our current clients (upselling), LinkedIn, and heck, we might even throw in some free fruit... Genuinely though, you'll have everything you need to do the job but the rest, that's on you.

Recruitment is a simple thing, but jeez it's tough, testing and rewarding all at the same time. You'll want to be incentivised. If I had a £1 for every time I've spoken with a recruiter whose commission structure has changed... You won't get that here. Everyone is on the same commission structure and it isn't changing! Ever. You bill above your threshold* and you'll get 20% of everything above that.

You'll be part of our quarterly celebrations if the office hits the targets (Regardless if you hit your personal target or not). There's a quarterly bonus too, rewarding consistency. Fundamentally, if you do well, the business does well, and we then invest back into the business. Get better things to make us better/more efficient at our jobs. Which in turnhelps you earn even more.

So who are we?

Well, the business is 3 years old. Built on 15 years experience of recruiting in the print, packaging and signage space. We do alright. We are recognised in the industry, highly thought of, seriously connected and definitely one of the go-to agencies out there.

As a business, it's quality over quantity.

Every new client we work with, we will visit.

(How can you recruit for someone if you've never met them? Never been to the place?)

We don't work with every Tom, Dick and Harry. We want to enjoy the clients we work with, that get the value we bring. If our clients are like-minded to us, we've visited them and seen the environment and culture, then we very quickly get to know who their type of people are. Normally our type of people. Making it enjoyable for everyone. Win, win and win.

You'll be the 4th person in the business. We are small but mighty.

Truth be told, we don't have aspirations to be much bigger than 10 people. As I mentioned earlier; Quality over quantity. So being part of a small, agile and dynamic team has to appeal to you, because that's what we are.

As a business, we are niche generalists. We might have just made that up but hang in there, it makes sense...

We recruit right across the print, packaging & signage sectors. (It's more buoyant than you'd think). Every role you can imagine, we will recruit for. It's a close niche. It's technical and very relationship driven so people want candidates to have industry knowledge. We've placed everyone from Managing Directors & Sales Directors to Project Managers, Studio Managers and Client Services Managers. Operations Managers to Printers and Warehouse staff. We've even recruited Sewing Machine Operators.

The vision for you... Pick a job specialism and go for it. Specialise in placing X job roles across the industry. Those skillsets should be transferrable across all 3 industries and there's plenty to go at! The only one that is out of bounds is Studio Recruitment (Artworkers and designers that type of thing) Ellie is already all over that!

What do you need to bring to the table?

Honestly, you HAVE to be a decent person and love recruitment.

Love the ups and downs, love the involvement you have with client's growth plans and the instrumental impact you have on people's lives when you find them their next role. It's not bums on seats, it's making sh!t happen for people.

You'll have to be a phone-first type of recruiter though. You know what I mean, you see a job advertised or you get a hot lead and you've done something with it, and you've picked up the phone and had a conversation with somebody. Not just "Yeah, I've sent an email to info @ theyarenevergettingbacktoyou.wasteoftime"

Oh, and a decent track record of billing consistently.

Anyway, if you've got this far, and you think you'd fit in well, we should probably be setting up a chat. It will be about you, what you are looking for and if MTWO fits around that. Don't worry about not having a CV you don't need any of that to have a chat. Show us you're a phone-first recruiter. Give Matt Hanley (MD) a call on 0 1 6 1 3 9 9 0 8 0 4.
