Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Part-time hours considered for the right candidate)
Pay: £80-£90 per day (for the 32.5 hours contract)

Role Overview: TimePlan Education is looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wantage, Oxfordshire. This rewarding role involves providing personalised support to a student in Reception with Autism (ASD) and communication difficulties, helping them to thrive in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a student in Reception with Autism (ASD) and communication difficulties.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO.
  • Assist the student in accessing and engaging with the primary curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and trusting relationship with the student.
  • Communicate effectively with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to ensure the student's needs are met.
  • Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the student's unique learning requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (desirable).
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the student.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with the SENCO and other staff members.
  • Possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
