We are looking for a Service Manager to oversee our homelessness services. You will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the service, ensuring its effective operation and coordination with statutory and voluntary organisations and service users. Your role will involve creating a supportive environment that promotes resettlement and supports homeless individuals with various needs.

You will manage and supervise staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and adhere to health and safety and other policies. Your duties include overseeing administrative and financial procedures, contributing to service development, and coordinating the resettlement programme. You will also handle reporting to the Head of Service and Corporate Management Team and participate in meetings and policy development.

A qualification recognised by the SSSC, such as an SVQ Level 4 in Social Care, or a related discipline is required. Experience in managing and developing staff, budget management, and service development is essential. A background in homelessness, mental health, substance use, or criminal justice is beneficial. You must be committed to supporting homeless individuals and capable of managing a demanding workload. The role involves occasional sleep-overs, on-call duties, and some evening, night, and weekend work. Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and successful vetting checks are mandatory.
