Location: Altrincham

Scope of Role:

As a Mortgage Advisor, you will provide comprehensive mortgage advice to clients, ensuring they receive guidance tailored to their needs and priorities. Your role will involve client interviews, market research, and producing written recommendations, all while maintaining the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Advice: Offer expert mortgage advice across all areas of mortgage regulation, ensuring recommendations align with clients' needs and priorities.
  • Client Interviews: Conduct thorough interviews to understand clients' needs, analyze their requirements, and research suitable mortgage options.
  • Written Recommendations: Produce clear and detailed written recommendations and evidence of activities as required by the practice and regulatory bodies.
  • Compliance: Adhere to GDPR, internal compliance procedures, and report any anomalies to the Compliance Officer.
  • Professional Development: Maintain and enhance your professional and personal skills, staying updated with industry changes.
  • KPI Achievement: Work towards achieving KPIs set by management, ensuring targets and performance metrics are met.
  • Administration: Handle administrative tasks efficiently, ensuring no aspect of the role is neglected.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other advisers and admin staff, and seek assistance from T&C Supervisors or the Compliance Officer when needed.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Certification: Full CeMAP qualification or equivalent CII Level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice.
  • Experience: At least two years of recent industry experience as a mortgage adviser.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a preference for structured and planned work.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your role.
