My client is a well-established engineering company that specialises in producing innovative production machinery for the automotive, food processing and electronics industry sectors. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, your focus will be managing design projects from initial concept to delivery, 3D modelling and producing detailed technical designs using Solidworks.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities;
- Liaise with customer's to source their technical requirements
- Produce detailed engineering designs that will meet the client's exact specifications
- To provide technical support for the production team
- Manage designs from initial concept through to production
- Assist in ensuring that all project completion dates are met.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Experience;
- Degree, HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience with robotics or automated machinery is essential
- Experienced in using Solidworks or Inventor CAD
- A good understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous
- Previous design experience of bespoke builds from initial concept to production
