PQ Engineer - Perceived Quality Engineer
Are you a PQ Engineer seeking a new contract role in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a PQ Engineer, and the role comes with an attractive umbrella contract rate. The role is Inside IR35.
This role will be part of the PQ function and will provide support to the Lead Engineer. The role will include both Exterior & Interior Trim development. The primary role is to support projects in the design stages of the program. Co-ordinate OQ Reviews with a cross functional team. Gather benchmarking data to support OQ reviews.
Main Activities & Tasks
- CAD operation skills not essential however the ability to interpret CAD drawings and sectional data is essential
- TCUA (Team Centre) PLM utilisation is desirable
- Plan and co-ordinate OQ Reviews for Exterior and Interior
- Support Lead PQ Integration Engineer on complete vehicle reviews and Benchmarking exercises as required.
- Generation and maintenance of the PQ Register and PQ Attribute within the Program Issues Register
- Assist with the Benchmarking of competitor vehicles & reporting findings.
- Support Optical Quality & Perceived Quality development & assessment activities.
- Assist in the development of a PQ Benchmarking database
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Able to demonstrate depth of knowledge and experience in Whole Vehicle, Interior and Exterior Trim development, materials, processes, tooling and assembly
- Gap / Rad Plan Development, section and target generation
- Benchmarking and data recording
- Generates new ideas with appropriate action plans. Demonstrates feasibility of ideas
- Fluent in English Language with competent in MS Office Programs
- Catia V5/V6 Experience
- Experience of Technical report writing and report delivery to a cross functional team.
- Problem Analysis Tools & Technique, knowledge and utilisation.
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with a cross functional team with members
- Self-motivated with excellent time management / prioritisation skills
- Assertiveness & Communication Skills
