Hatched Recruitment is looking for a Employee Relations Adviser in the Islington area. Hybrid working arrangement. 3 - 6 months contract.
Key responsibilities
To provide a high quality end to end Human Resources advice, guidance and support service to the Headteacher, Governors, School Business Managers, staff and related stakeholders.
- Provide high quality professional HR advice and guidance to senior managers on complex staffing issues relating to both individuals and groups of staff.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with supported leaders and other stakeholders, to ensure HR advice supports delivery of positive outcomes.
- Build successful partnership working with the trade unions on individual and collective matters establishing productive and proactive dialogue with employees, their representatives to develop services, facilitate change, resolve conflict and promote a positive working environment.
- Provide expert advice to Headteachers/Leaders on the application of the school's policies, pay and conditions of service, and on the legal and best practice implications of employment issues. Supporting and undertaking casework on a wide range of human resources issues, including discipline, capability, absence, grievance.
- Provide guidance to line managers on how to manage potential ER issues at the informal stage prior to any formal action and necessary follow-on actions, promoting good people management practices across the organisation.
