Head of Product Marketing Interim - initially 6 months Public Services Taunton - Hybrid - 2 days a week in office £400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35 - Umbrella)

The company

My client are a technology product developer and distributor in the public sector based in Taunton, working with customers and partners on a global scale.

The role

They are looking for an established Head of Product Marketing to take on this newly established role on an initial interim basis.
You will lead the development and execution of the global product marketing strategy and go-to-market initiatives to ensure new and existing products effectively reach the market through channel partners and distributors, positioning the organisation as a leader in their field.
The position requires experience in a leadership role with stakeholder management and collaboration across Product, Channel, Strategic Relations, and Marketing teams to drive product success and achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities

Strategic planning:

  • Serve as the company's Product Marketing expert and hold full responsibility for all marketing activities in this area
  • Lead and develop a comprehensive product marketing strategy
  • Create and define strategic objectives aligned with wider marketing goals
  • Spearhead GTM strategy
  • Partner with UX team to conduct in-depth market research
  • Identify customer needs across various user and buyer segments, understand market trends, and run competitor analysis
  • Develop compelling product positioning and messaging

Campaign Development:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns driving product awareness, consideration, and adoption
  • Partner with marketing agencies and internal teams to ensure cohesive and impactful campaign execution
  • Develop sales enablement solutions supporting entire customer journey
  • Manage the creation of compelling content such as white papers, videos, webinars, and other collateral

Implementation:

  • Manage stakeholder engagement and act as the main liaison between the product and marketing teams, ensuring alignment on strategy and initiatives
  • Establish KPIs and effectively track and measure performance, providing analysis and insights for continuous improvement
  • Manage the product marketing budget ensuring optimum ROI
