LOCATION:

Bristol

HOURS: Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm (can be flexible on this)

About the Job:

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of older individuals within the criminal justice system? Our client is seeking a dedicated Service Manager to lead a new and exciting service that will support older people through the criminal justice service. This role is a unique opportunity to work within a charitable organization that is dedicated to supporting older offenders and ex-offenders in prison and the community.

  • Lead the implementation of a Buddy Peer Support Programme and the Activity Hub, providing well-being support and meaningful activity for the older population.
  • Manage a team of 2 support coordinators to deliver high-quality, person-centered support for older individuals within the justice system and coordinate activities within the prison setting.
  • Develop positive working relationships with prison partners, the Local Authority, and other key stakeholders to ensure the contract meets agreed Performance Indicators.

Preferred Requirements

:

  • Experienced in successfully managing and coaching staff.
  • Ability to work effectively with arms-length supervision and build strong professional relationships with team & partners.
  • Experience of working with older people, individuals in the Criminal Justice system, or a social care setting.
  • Experience of co-ordinating and monitoring the delivery of a contract or SLA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a custodial environment or in a social care setting.
  • Strong communication and management skills.
  • An understanding of the issues faced by older individuals and/or offenders.
