1:1 Teaching Assistant - BSL

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with British Sign Language (BSL) proficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on a child's educational journey in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with hearing impairments using BSL.
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure the child can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to support the child's development.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
