This client is a top 5 tech giant with a global retail operation, video streaming platform, and has a big imprint in web services. This is a hybrid role, so you will split your time between home office and the clients offices in central London. On-site you will be able to access their amazing facilities and quirky working spaces.

Job Description:

This organisations Legal team responsible for competition and litigation across Europe. This is a high impact, high visibility position working within the Legal team, directly supporting the Legal Director & Associate General Counsel and team. We are looking for someone who learns quickly, is self-driven, and adapts to changing circumstances with grace.

This role demands the ability to work independently on assignments with sound judgment. The successful candidate will have great people skills, organizational skills, an eye for accuracy and detail with a strong bias for action and the ability to multitask effectively. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with directors and senior professionals inside and outside the company is imperative, as is a good sense of humour.

You will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, be able take effective action without having to know the total picture, and efficiently and proactively solve difficult or complex problems that affect our Customers. You will work across the European team, but also network closely and forge relationships with other teams in the US and globally.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management of complex calendar and scheduling requirements with senior leaders across multiple time zones and multiple team members
  • Planning and coordinating team events and key meetings
  • Enabling, coordinating and driving key projects, including tracking and driving completion of key deliverables, and following up on any outstanding items
  • Managing travel logistics and schedules
  • Completing expense reports, purchase orders and participating in budget planning and tracking as needed
  • Managing other key activities (such as new-hire onboarding and organizational charts).

Basic qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience as an assistant/legal assistant in a global organisation
  • Experience providing support at Senior management levels
  • Experience with domestic and international travel coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with lawyers/legal teams and directors in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to improve processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can work well with different personalities in the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time
  • High levels of integrity and discretion
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work effectively with minimal supervision
