Children Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Children Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience working in the UK. This role is based in Preston and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children in residential care.

Day to day of the role:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the children's emotional and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and participate in activities that are both fun and educational.
  • Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and support to help children and young people overcome challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of the children's progress and any incidents that occur.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding policies are adhered to and any concerns are reported to the appropriate authorities.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and training sessions to continuously develop professional skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in the UK.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by children in residential care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
