Position: Estimator
Location: Brandon
About the Role: Successful manufacturing company is seeking a meticulous and experienced Estimator to join their team in Brandon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project documents, maintaining tender schedules, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Download and review relevant project documents from client portals promptly.
- Accurately interpret project scope to assess commercial viability.
- Manage tender return schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Produce compliant tenders in line with customer requirements.
- Interpret architects' and engineers' drawings and specifications accurately.
- Perform take-offs, mark-ups, and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) as needed.
- Raise accurate Requests for Information (RFI) and Technical Queries (TQ) with clients.
- Negotiate with clients to secure the most competitive position.
- Complete internal pricing sheets and bid documents for submission on time.
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the tender process and post-tender to receipt of order.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in using relevant software and technology for estimating tasks. Experience of Winfloor advantageous.
