Are you an experienced Property Manager looking to take the next step in your career into a Senior Property Manager role?

We have an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Estate & Letting Agency based in Exeter, Devon. This dynamic company dominates the East Devon marketplace and is looking for a motivated individual to help manage their growing portfolio and to help oversee lettings in general.

The Role:

As the Senior Property Manager, you will oversee the management of a diverse portfolio, including both residential and student lettings. You will also take on some of the responsibilities typically associated with a Lettings Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the lettings compliance side of the business supporting the company Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Management: Overseeing the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential and student properties, ensuring all properties are well-maintained and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Lettings Management: Taking on new properties, conducting valuations, and ensuring they are let promptly to quality tenants. You will also be responsible for setting rental prices, marketing properties, and managing the entire letting process from start to finish.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of Property Managers, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the highest standards of service are delivered across the board.
  • Client Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors, offering exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Financial Management: Overseeing rent collection, managing budgets, and ensuring that all financial aspects of property management are handled efficiently.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all properties comply with the latest legislation, including health and safety regulations, and that all tenancy agreements are properly managed.
  • Reporting: Providing regular updates to senior management on portfolio performance, tenant retention rates, and other key metrics.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in residential property management, with a strong understanding of both PRS (Private Rented Sector) and student lettings.
  • Experience in a Lettings Manager role, including property valuations and supporting the director in overseeing the entire lettings process.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing a team of property professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • A thorough understanding of property legislation and compliance requirements.
  • A proactive and organised approach to work, with the ability to handle a varied and demanding workload.
  • A valid UK driving licence is essential.
