The successful Technical Services Manager lead and manage the Technical Services department in providing efficient, cost effective solutions and response to technical and design matters.
The role will involve:
- Be proactive and influential in the success of the company. Attend Head of Department meetings and provide input to the direction of Mackley.
- Plan and manage team to deliver a diverse workload of complex and potentially high value bids and projects to meet company goals.
- Respond efficiently to weekly changes in priority from operations and pre-contract leadership.
- Maintain and provide input to relevant procedures for HSEQ. Ensure compliance with relevant company procedures.
- Keep up to date with legislation & codes of practice to ensure H&S and compliance.
To be successful in this role of Technical Services Manager we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
- Proven experience in a design office environment including delivery of design and build projects,
- Design experience within a flood defence, water & or coastal environment, including temporary and permanent works design, such as cofferdams, piling works, crane and piling mat design & flood defence works, water control structures, environmental works, etc.
- Managing & leading a Technical team
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Equivalent
- Chartered Civil Engineer (desirable)
