Job Advert: Animal Carer
Would you enjoy a hands-on role working with cats and dogs? Are you keen to make the world a better place for pets using Science and Research? Our client, a leading organisation in the field of animal care and research, is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Animal Carers.
Pay Rate: £13.71- £13.83 per hour
Working Pattern: Full Time, Rota'd shifts either 6.30am-2.30pm, 9am- 5pm or 8am- 4pm including weekends and Bank Holidays.
THE JOB
As an Animal Carer, you will play a vital role in delivering research data while providing exceptional care for our fluffy companions. Health and safety will be at the forefront of everything you do, ensuring the well-being of the animals in your care. This exciting opportunity allows you to work with cats and dogs on a daily basis, while developing your knowledge of animal behaviour and training alongside our team of behavioural experts. No prior animal care experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent care and training for our furry friends, ensuring their well-being.
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to promote positive behaviour.
- Collect research data and biological samples, prioritising health and safety.
- Identify and propose improvements to enhance our client's work.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualities:
- A passion for animal care.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Own transport is essential due to the location.
