Job Title: Junior Buyer
Location: Blackwood
Salary: £25,000-£26,000 per annum
Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday, days regular 37.5 hours a week, start time can be slightly flexible
Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting s Junior Buyer to work for a company in Blackwood on a temp to perm basis.
Main job roles:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Chain Planner / Buyer will play an
integral part of the team supporting on key functions within the department including below:
- Procurement,
- Vendor management,
- MRP scheduling,
- Quality Assurance,
- New Product Development,
- driving improvement initiatives while maintaining excellent customer service levels and some administrative duties.
- Using strong commercial and analytical skills the role will create value for the business through effective negotiation of price, contract and service level agreements.

- The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record of achieving cost down benefit to the business.

Education and Experience
- Educated to degree level - CIPS preferably (or working towards)
- Supply chain or Procurement experience
- IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge
- Experience working with a MRP/ERP and SAP system.
- Experience working in a legislative environment and familiar working with procedures/systems
