IT Technical Specialist - Houghton Regis - £40k-45k (Hybrid working)
Leading SaaS firm based in Houghton Regis are now looking to grow their IT Infrastructure team by adding an IT Technical Specialist.
Here you'll be joining a well-established software house of 30 years who embrace flexibility and hybrid working, with the team working majority of the time from home 3 or 4 times a week as they choose. In addition, there will be plenty of cloud-based project work this year as they continue to migrate everything into Azure.
Key skills:
- Windows Server administration and deployment - 22/19
- Virtualisation - Hyper-V configuration and management
- Office 365 Admin management
- Experience in Microsoft Azure
- Management of Active Directory/Azure AD
- Strong networking configuration and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, configuration of switches, and firewalls)
- Good backup exposure e.g. Veeam
- PowerShell scripting
- Full UK Drivers licence
This is a varied role which will involve a myriad of tasks, including Systems Administration overseeing the internal IT infrastructure, 3rd Line Support and managed services tasks.
Role and responsibilities include:
- Set up and deploy new server and network hardware.
- Address technical Server and network queries from internal users, providing 3rd line third-line support to the service delivery team for escalated issues
- Maintain and understand software used for services like email and security.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks (e.g. patching, updating software)
- Manage workload and user responses using an internal call management system.
- Ensure completion of scheduled managed service tasks as outlined in SLAs
