SALARY: £31,085 - £32,500 per annum (DOE)+ Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid working between the Winchester office and home(SO23)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Policy & Procedure Officer / Regulatory Affairs Compliance Officer who has exceptional writing skills, including copywriting, editing, and proofreading with accurate grammar and literacy is required.

As the Policy & Procedure Officer / Regulatory Affairs Compliance Officer you will assist in coordinating the policy and procedure framework for Operational teams, ensuring that all areas of compliance are covered.

Working as the Policy & Procedure Officer / Regulatory Affairs Compliance Officer you will ensure policies and procedures align with relevant legislation, are shaped by colleague and customer feedback, and are effectively embedded into practice.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Policy & Procedure Officer / Regulatory Affairs Compliance Officer will include:

  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are reviewed by relevant colleagues, customers, and stakeholders, and that their impact is assessed before publication
  • Collaborate with business leads to understand compliance requirements across all operational areas, ensuring that policies and procedures are in place to reflect relevant legislation and best practices
  • Embed policy and procedures in practice through mandatory reads, briefings, training (where appropriate) and periodic policy and procedure readership sessions
  • Assist in managing the policy and procedure review process, ensuring updates are made in response to sector changes or periodic reviews, and provide regular reports that reflect their compliance status
  • Support the Operations department by contributing to cross-cutting policies and procedures managed by other business areas, including Human Resources, Governance, and IT
  • Keep up to date with academic research from local and national governments, charities, and universities to support the organisations work

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to A level or equivalent in Maths & English (Grades A*-C)
  • Exceptional writing skills, including copywriting, editing, and proofreading with accurate grammar and literacy
  • The ability to work efficiently and diligently in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent relationship management skills and proven ability to network, engage and influence colleagues and customers
  • Knowledge of housing legislation, regulation, policy, and best practice (desirable, not essential)
